Moron!! The only word about kotakstreet.com which is kotaksecurities.com now. It has so pathetic a service that you will never like to do online trading again. They are bunch of people with no idea of the job they are doing. I am sorry, but there is NOT A SINGLE POINT in favor of them. I kind of get along with them because I am not a big time trader/investor. So, neither of us were bothered. But now when SEBI asked to submit PAN, I got to see their real face. And to be frank, it happens that when you are off with someone, you tend to find more of their mistakes.
My story begins with "submit you pan" email I recieved from their customer care. after one year of operations. Well, I did that. Then, I recieved the reply stating, that my wife's Maiden Name does not match, so I need to submit marriage certificate. Wow!! who told them that they need a marriage certificate, to verify my wife's name change? Not the SEBI circular

Incase where there is difference in the maiden name and current name ofthe investor (predominantly in the case of married women), DPs cancollect the PAN card proof as submitted by the account holder. However,this would be subject to the DPs verifying the veracity of the claim ofsuch investors by collecting sufficient documentary evidence in supportof the identity of the investors as provided in the SEBI Circular No.MRD/DoP/Dep/Cir-29/2004 dated August 24, 2004.

Their customer care executives are so pathetic in their knowledge that they don't even like to know the truth and were bent upon affidavit or marriage certificate. I sent them the circular numbers and they were like, who and where? In a good customer service, they must have verified the authentication from Kotak Bank, where we hold a joint account !! But their services are not integrated, so they wanted us to produce the certificate or loose us as client :)
Well, then I realized the mistake of doing transactions with them.
They came to my house to open the account. The executive was like, "Sir, we'll help you out if you are in problem", when I asked the same person to collect my PAN card hard copy, he said, "no sir, you have to come to our branch"
Their site is so non-intutive that you kind of wonder if you are writing essays or doing trade? And then, they almost on average have PAGE NOT FOUND error or Javascript ERROR.
They are not open on Saturdays and their reply comes after 3 working days.
Their connection to banks is pthetic, not even Kotak Mahindra Bank.
They kind of do not realize customer value.
And if you do not want to block your hard earned money, resist hooking to them.
