My salary account is in Kotak bank, so when the executive asked if I wanted to take up the Systematic Investment Plan, I signed up for it. In this, a minimum monthly amount gets deducted from your salary, starting from 500, and multiples thereof, to get invested in mutual funds.
You can withdraw the amount at the time of redemption. The amount fluctuated according to NAV, but chances of loss are rare. Mostly the value goes up, or worse to worse, by one point down. My savings in this plan are growing, and I am glad I invested in Kotak Securities.
