Never ever bank with Kotak M bank. Review on Kotak Mahindra Bank

Hey people,

I am having my worst of its kind banking experience with Kotak mahindra bank, it was my company's policy that I had to open a salary acc with Kotak bank so I had to open one account. Since then I have faced so many problems.

1. While opening the account I was promised that i'd be given a Gold Debit card, instead I got a red debit card which has far less beenfits then a gold card.

   
   




2. Kotak bank has only 1 ATM in whole of Nagpur, myself being a regular shopper I always need some cash in my pocket but I have to go to other bank ATMs to take money and hence I always exceed 5 transactions in a month and end up paying extra charges, had I been given a Gold Debit card I would'nt have faced such problem as on Gold card you get free unlimited transactions from any ATM of any bank.

   
   




3. I had requested for a Credit card from this bank, but the guy there was so unresponsive, every day he would say he'll come to my home and get the thing done and every day i'll call him to request to please visit and he says he is on the way but suddenly disappears and for next 1 week he wont pick up my phone.

   
   

For the Credit card even I went to Kotak bank branch here at nagpur and there also I didnt get any proper reply for my credit card, citing address problem and all( I have proper address proof docs with me) I guess they dont want to give a credit card whereas other banks where I have an account are running after me to get a credit card from their bank. Now I have applied for a credit card from HDFC and they have promised to deliver it within 10-15 days. Gosh I was waiting for Kotak Credit card from past 2 months but to no avail!

1. I wrote to their Customer care and even called on their phone no but they too were unresponsive, both ways they asked me to contact the branch and I know how the branch guys are here!

Overall I am really unsatisfied by this bank and have determined never to bank with this bank, instead now I go to HDFC and my old SBI for all the transactions, as they are so easy and helpful in nature.
