I am investing 60k (30, 30 two policies) per yr in Kotak Capital Multiplier Plan. Initially Agent calling me so many times, so I gave him appointment. He explained me using Kotak xerox copies of existing customers and showed me projected values after 15 yrs. So after 1 week period, I decided to buy that plan for me and my wife.
As per his calculations if I invest 30k per year I will get 9-12 lakhs in return guaranteed.
Invested money 30k*15yrs=4.5 lakhs
Maturity Amount will be= 9 to 12 lakhs.
I bought these policies in 2012.
Now another Kotak agent called me and said the plans you are having are not good, so you can switch the plan. Then I told him all this story then he said "Sir in any case you cannot get more than 6 lakhs in this policy, better you can switch the plan after 3 years." After that I called Kotak customer care they also told me you will get 5.5 lakhs to 6 lakhs only.
This is so sad. Even when we invest in PPF, we will get around 9 lakhs amount after 15 yrs. After that I called the agent Mr. Dilip Patil (Pune-Sourabh Hall Branch) he is still telling me that customer care don't have knowledge of plans, they don't know bout the plan. I called him to come and meet me regarding plan, but he is not coming since Oct 2014. Now is not answering the calls.
Guys Kotak plans are crap and agents are worst than any other company. Better to invest our hard earned money in LIC. Kotak agents come with fake projections to beat the LIC plan. They will have the LIC projections as well. They will make fool the people by showing wrong policy maturity docs.
My Genuine advise is DON'T GO FOR ANY PLAN OF KOTAK.
KOTAK plans are outdated. You can take any plan of Kotak and do some homework and comparisons, you will get to know that KOTAK is selling CRAP. LIC is far better than Kotak this is my thinking now. I lost 1.2 lakhs.:(
Even when you visiting the branch is again pathetic and worst experience. Customer service is very very poor at branches. When you call toll free numbers always we get the little different information.
