Anyone who decides to join this NGO as a career opportunity unfortunately gets lured by the salary, perks, incentives and other goodies.But this place is not a genuine place for doing social work since there is lot of internal politics and money laundering.
The top management especially the Project Heads are into swindling of money and misappropriation of funds.Due to exorbitant salaries wrong crowd is getting in and they are joining the management people in swindling money.
The focus is deviated from helping the underprivileged. Misappropriation of funds by Project Head who ropes in friends as trainers and takes commission. Forces students to attend overnight camps so as to get commission cut percentage per student.
Brings in friends and employs them at top management level to play petty politics.There is a mad rush to fill the TA and expenses form so as every one can get a huge share in the extra money.There is 2 appraisal conducted during the year and they just lambast the employees left and right whereas they don't provide basic things needed for day to day smooth operation.
The employee as to usually spend from own pocket to buy the necessary articles needed for smooth running of work. Only those who are able to sweet talk the top management and butter them are spared during appraisal and they get a raise others are humiliated and manipulated into quitting.
Good fun place to earn pocket money and make friends.But not a place to do genuine social service. Better to find some volunteering opportunities with NGOs.Unfortunately poor is becoming poorer and rich are becoming richer.The lure and lust for money have blinded the employees and management people.
Focus is deviated from underprivileged to just filling of Travel Allowance every employee just wants to add ludicrous amount to their TA form so as to earn illicit money. Reminds one of the so many orphanages where children are sexually abused. By being part of such organisations you become part of their crime.
