Kotak is considered to be one of the highly established and successful one amongst the capital marketing firms. This had been doing broking business for over a decade now.
A year ago when I badly wanted to open a demat account in any company, regardless of its popularity or market share. I just wanted it to be in such firm, in which I dont get any hassles along with that it is feasible for me to do trading on regular basis.
I got it real quick wiith kotak. That I do appreciate( they put it up online within 48 hours) . Otherwise if you get it in anyother broking company they take upto 8 days. That makes them too tideous in their work.
Apart from that it aint any good, there was an incident which pushed me to close my account right away. So what took place in my account was that, I made a trade by calling their helpine, there an agent was allotted to me as always. I told him to buy a lot for a commodity At 641.25 per . He put up the order and saw that the it was intitiated and got it in my holding an hour post that.
Just after getting it in stock I tried to sell half of those at 642.35 in afternoon and placed the order for same to the exactly person who took my buying order. Then o left for my work and didnt look in my account till the next morning when the stock market showed up active.
What I observed there was that my whole lot was sold at 642.35 and not the half, I got amazed to see it. As how they can do transaction from my account prior telling it to me. I could have made 3000-5000 extra as it was up that day.
I scolded them badly wanted them to compensate me for such activity. Despite of them doing mistake, they went confronting me and blamed me for it.
They didnt take responsibility for it and went on transferring calls from one to another. As it didnt bring any results for good. I simply gave them the closure form and got it cleared.
Just be meticulous when you do trading with them. Who knows what they are upto. When it comes to money nobody could be trusted. Kotak absolutely cant be.
