Like a good old mega serial, the start was fairly okay. By the middle ( what was the middle part - difficult to guess as I am not sure it will end now, though it appears so), there were too many characters. I was compelled to remember my own story writing at the age of 10 - 12, in which there were20 characters in a 5 page story and 18 died as the story ended.
Thols the short name I like, and I like it more as Abhi calls. I had an attack of amnesia, as I missed the serial for a couple of days and Thols was found in the hills with another young lady and her brother. Frankly I started making my own story and I thought the Christian Father protecting the adopted or so child of Thols will appear now. What connection, I cannot make out.
As much as Thiruchchelvam the story writer and director can make. Now I am only afraid that Aadi will also have amnesia. While attempting to murder Thols on amnesia, the infection could have spread. There are so many sub stories that have not ended. Both the sisters of Abhi and their stories. Pregnant Menaka. Is she carrying a boy or a girl? What he or she will become? We will have to wait to know till her date of delivery. Kolangal will continue into the next round as "Maakkolangal". Maavu + Kolangal means the Kolangal which is made of rice powder.
Maa + Kolangal means BIG kolangal. Therefore the second round can start as Maakkolangal and run to our own next generation. As the serial progresses in some families after marriage and birth of a child in that family, they will proudly say "This fellow was born the day 'Maakolangal' started and now he has a child and 'Makkolangal' continues.
