I have been using Kodak V603 from Nov 2006. Though I have been using this camera for taking pictures both indoor and outdoor, only in the Month of July 2007 I took a print of the photo taken indoor with flash, for my astonishment I noticed shadow of the object of which I had taken a photo.
When I stated looking at all the soft copy of the photo's taken with flash both indoor and outdoor I noticed that there is shadow of the object/person in the picture. I contacted Kodak for help; since I have misplaced my purchase invoice they will not repair the digital camera free of the cost. The answer they gave was they will not able to repair the camera because they are unable to trace the serial number.
The problem as clearly understandable is with the manufacturing of the camera. I wrote to them again with no results. Now I have to spend close to Rs. 3000 for getting the camera repaired so as that the shadow does not appear.
I would suggest all readers in the forum to be extra careful in buying Kodak camera's in India. The technical help desk is not very helpful and the repair for Kodak is very expensive. For the repair center to have a look at the camera will charge anywhere Rs. 750 upward. The parts as I am made to understand is very expensive, all this for a manufacturing defect.
I have added a picture taken with flash indoor. Once can clearly make the quality of picture with flash is terrible and the shadow of the person is clearly visible. When the print is taken the picture looks awful.
