Hi Friends,
This unforgettable experience of mine a college trip to kodachadari was just amazing.Though this trip of mine was a few years ago.still evergreen in my mind.
We were a group of 50, first we reached a home stay near kodachadari, got ourselves freshened up had good breakfast and left for the first exciting experience.we had to walk 3000 feet above the hill crossing a small water fall too <3.
This took a whole day.thanks to an organization called "NOMADS". This organisation is known to arrange such trekking-trips to various parts of India . Next we reached the hill top.the actual place "kodachadari".had our dinner that night not to forget all of us tired and exhausted but still very proud to have walked all the way up so many feet uphill.
That night we played around the campfire and slept in the home-stay up here. The next morning we left early to a old temple there and a cave temple which was a little risky but worth visiting and also played football and torch ball up there in a helipad( 3500 feet):D, awesome fun.then comes the next challenge getting down the hill not so easy as getting up the hill.but without a problem and without any casualty we were safely trekked down.
This trip was organised during our semester holidays(April-may), this fits in the best months to visit kodachadari. Next time when I visit this place will definitely make my own tent and stay outdoor for a night.because I came across many places apt for doing this.
The trip is really challenging at certain places so if u can make it, becomes a really confidence booster.i would really recommend to go through a travel or trekking organization as I mentioned one.They were really amazing friendly and became good friends too.Please don forget to carry your camera .the mobile phone wont pick up signals up there.but once in a life must have an experience.
