It was only a year ago that I was diagnosed with Emphysema. Not a pleasant thing to be told. I went through a period of depression at first, but now I'm starting to want to rejoin the human race. I've enrolled in a computer class, went hunting with my husband( and let me tell you, that's no easy feat) and when I'm done with the computer class, I'm going to get a job. You see, before I got sick, I used to clean houses. Found I could'nt keep up with the labor of it, so after figuring out I needed something else, I did something about it. The point of this is that you can live with Emphysema you just need to relearn everything. If you did it before, you still can, you just need to cut yourself some slack, slow down, ( do everything at your own pace and don't let anyone rush you) If you take it all at a slower pace, you find eventually it all comes together. I've definitly learned how to try to let the little things go.
