Stomach problems

Children, especially babies before the age of 2 are very pron to stomach dissorders. It usually starts with eating something that the poor little tummy cannot digest and then gives way to the stomach infections.

These infections can result in anything from loosemotions to

very strong stomach cramps, stomach cramps are bad and the child does not know what to do and cries at the top volume and the mother is even more helpless, especially for the first time moms this can be a very traumatic experience. This is also termed as colic pain. The grandmother's reciepe which even the doctors recommed is applying'hing' along with warm water or ghee, around the childs navel, this mostly results in relief.

the basic problem with a baby is that she is unable to tell what is actually hurting her.so, if the baby is going on crying helplessly and is not being pacified with anything, then just lightly press his/her stomach and check if it is harder than usual.most of the times u get a clue.

As for the loose motions although u don't have to play the guessing game, but it is usualy as problematic.the first thing to do is restrict all the milk intake and instead feed the child with arrowroot lapsi, toasted bread, bananas etc.there is a lot if water lose so the key is to give as much water as possible along with a pinch of salt and sugar, which should help in compansating for the lost minerals from the system.

above said and done the doctor should be definately informed in both the cases
