Much Ado about Nothing!. Review on Kitni Mast Hai Zindagi

Kitni Mast Hai Zindagi(KMHZ) is the latest presentation of the ''K'' producer Ekta Kapoor.

The story revolves around a young girl, Ananya, a small town girl, who lands in Mumbai. She auditions for one of the hit radio stations ? radio masti and gets a job.

Ananya(Panchi Borah), has for company in the big bad world, an old childhood friend, Jyoti. Jyoti is now ?JO?. Jo(Manasi Parekh) has transformed from a naïve, small town girl to a ?know it all? dame. She wears the ?todays girl? garb to keep pace with the fast life in Mumbai.

Ananya has good friends in Sameera, Sam for short, a strong, independent, liberal urbanite and udita a sweet but dumb babe, who is forever hunting for men to date.

The trials and tribulations of Ananya to keep up with city life, her ambitions and dreams, her effort tp hold on to her values and principles forms rest of the story.

Must say, for a producer like Ekta Kapoor, known for her ?saas bahu? spins, litres and litres of glycerine and inane ?sanskar? families, the content of this serial is a welcome change. This is probably to keep up with the MTV image. The treatment is very yuppy and has a young feel to it.

But sadly? that?s about it. The cast of KMHZ fails to impress. I am surprised these actors were selected from thousands of aspirants from across the country? either India does not have new talent or good talent does not want to be part of Ekta Kapoor serials :)

The pace of the serial is dragging and the dialogues will sure put you to sleep. Panchi Borah as Ananya is sad... this gal has absolutely no expression and her dialogue delivery is flat. Incidently the other three girls show some acting promise.

Ekta Kapoor has roped in TV stalwarts like Preeti Dayal and Yash Tonk to salvage the serial. There is not much they can do.

Overall, KMHZ is an overhyped presentation.
