K?. The most notable alphabet on television! Well, this letter is very symbolic with unbeaten directors like Rakesh Roshan, Karan Johar and not to forget the queen of soaps Ekta Kapoor. None of the above mentioned names need any kind of introduction I guess.
So, let me get to the point now.
A few months back many of us read that the Balaji Productions and MTV are going to begin a show. This created a sensation among people. Some people were very enthusiastic about it, while some others decided to give up watching T.V itself. I am not here to chide anybody?s views because in a country like ours, preferences will obviously be heterogeneous. And, there were still, some others who hardly cared about what twists were taking place in the industry.
Anyways, all the sentience came to a stand still when the long awaited show started and Kitni Mast Hai Zindagi was born. (No prizes for guessing that the title had to begin with K).
The story revolves around a girl named Ananya who is from a small town. She has come to the city to fulfill her dreams. As is known the channel launched a nation-wide talent hunt and auditioned aspiring stars for the actors of the serial. The hunt was conducted across 107 cities.
The serial has so far managed to strike an altogether different chord with the usual sobs put to rest. We can find that those traditional sarees, habitual sentimental dialogues, extremely dutiful bahu cum patni, a common wife or a common husband disputes and the usual like of the monotonous and irksome ?K? serials has not yet found any place in this soap.
When Jassi was being aired the whole crowd became bonkers. The masses received the unusual taste from the television. The bespectacled girl got a lot of applause and became an ideal woman for most (not for me although). So, this has proved that something beyond family dramas also makes everyone ecstatic.
But, now I find that Jassi is shaping like those K soaps and has deviated a lot from the original theme. With Purab being sandwiched between Jassi and Meenaxi, the future of the story does not seem very promising enough to continue for long. The love triangle is the final resort that most directors depend on. As this is the case I must say KMHZ may also do the same after a few episodes(till now they have decided to air only 39 episodes).
But, lets hope for the best and also be prepared for the worst.
The main lead Ananya however, needs some improvement. Her expressions aren?t that good enough. I hope after a few more episodes she exhibits well.
Finally I would like to say, that no matter how annoying people find Ekta, she still manages to promote her K factor everywhere. Sounds interesting enough?.. naah?
If Ekta could ever read this review then my only plea to her would be to ask her to continue KMHZ in the manner that she has started and also end it with the same theme and not go haywire.
My dear frens, lets however be prepared for any spice added coz with ekta's direction one must never take a chance. Any comments about that???????
