Till now its the best read. The Story is heart wrenching but surely a page turner. It's a 2 am readable. keeps the reader engrossed in the story of a little boy named Hassan who is a Hazara, and an illegitimate son of Rahim Khan. The story revolves around Hassan and Amir(protagonist) who is the son of Rahim Khan and discovers the truth of his brother after his death. It describes about the kite flying competition held every year in Kabul.
Khaled Hosseni mentioned the rise of Taliban in the novel and the soviet military intervention.
After Hassan and his wife's demise his son was sent to an orphanage, after going through a rough phase ultimately his son is adopted by Amir in the end.
