I am not a professional on music reviews. And I am not a critic too. I received this album from someone I love.

I am a great fan of A. R. Rahman and Ismail Darbar and this review may be biased.

However, having said that, I need to tell you that Kisna was one of the most awaited albums. Subhash Ghai, A. R. Rahman, Ismail Darbar and Javed Akhtar, I don?t think I need to say more. These are icons in the industry, the most experienced and the most adventurous together.

The moment I saw the album, the colors on the cover told me that album was different. The earthy colored album doesn?t look interesting in the first glance but tells a lot about the music. The music for all the tracks will remind you of the earlier works of A. R. Rahman and Ismail Darbar but ofcourse with a difference. When you have to listen to the remixes all day long, and you are looking to spend your money on something worthwhile, something original, it has to be kisna.

The album is very original, the lyrics are all good. I would like to recommend ?Aham Brahamasmi? to all those who believe they can do anything. This track could have been the theme song for the matrix :p ?Aham Brahamasmi? is Sanskrit for ?I am Brahma (God)?.

I was recommended ?Hum Hain Iss Pal Yahan? when I was given this CD. The song is an absolutely amazing love song. It makes you feel real close to the one you love and the distances don?t really seem to matter. This can be considered the Hindi translation of ?my heart will go on?.

''Kahe Ujadi Mori Neend'', I am still trying to get over the feel of the track. It is a wonderful classical, soothing.

When Sushmita Sen says ''Jumman Miyan'' to start the 5th track, ''Chilman Uthegi Nahin'', you just wait to see the track on the screen.

Out of the 12, the only track I would place at the end of the list would be ''Wohi din aa gaya''. A routine ''shaadi'' type song.

All in all, I think the album is just great. It is very Indian, very complete and very original.
