Yet another channel from the Sun Network. After a spate of channels like Udaya, Gemini, Sun, Surya comes a new Malayalam channel Kiran Tv.This channel is a film and music channel. The channel is mostly 'live' like KTV and SCV. Apart from this everyday there is a movie at 8 pm in the evening. The initial movies have been quite good. The channel has started off on a good note. However being 'live' most of the time raises an issue of holding interest of the viewers and encouraging them to call and requesting their songs.
Besides the channel also needs a better wardrobe manager as does SCV.On the movie front too, it remains to be seen how long the channel can avoid repeating movies. If they end up repeating movies(good ones hopefully) then the time gap will be an issue. The anchors are doing a decent job but a little more training is always welcome. The songs database is really huge. There is also a show showing various comic film clippings. with Kiran TV the Sun network now has 2 channels, the other being Surya.
