On 1st of May I have to travel to my native, Bhilai. The nearest Aiport is Raipur, which is 1 hour from my place. I used yatra.com to book the tickets (My biggest mostake to use yatra as they charge more than the actual price). Since there is no direct flight from Bangalore to Raipur, I had to catch the flight from Bangalore to Hyderabad & then from Hyderabad to Raipur. I booked the tickets for Kingfisher Airlines. From Bangalore to Hyderabad, it should be Kingfisher class & from Hyderabad to Raipur it should be Kingfisher Red. On 30th April, I received a call from Kingfisher that from Bangalore to Hyderabad, instead of Kingfisher class, Kingfisher Red is operating the flight. I didn't have any problem as long as service is good & they deliver what they promised. My flight from Bangalore was scheduled to be at morning 6:30 & from Hyderabad it should be at morning 8.
So on 1st of May 2009, when I reached Airport (By Airlift cab, I already wrote my expirience of Airlift Cab), one of the Kingfisher employee came near to the cab & asked if anyone is on Kingfisher passenger. I told him that I am the passenger. He instantly took one trolley & put my Luggage on that. Then, I told him that I forgot to bring the ticket. So he accompained me till Kingfisher counter. I showed my PNR number to Kingfisher officials there & they took the printout of my ticket & handed over to me, within a minute. Hmm. Till here it was good. Then, I forgot to pay the UDF & was trying to enter the airport. But then, the Kingfisher employee, who was taking my luggage, reminded in a polite way to pay UDF. Then I paid UDF & enter the airport. He took me near the checkin queue, & quietly left (Didn't ask me the tip???? WOW..... These type of people still exist???? Checked my luggage nothing was gone.... so he really did his job & went ... Hmmmm good). Checkin queue was a bit long (hmmmm So, Many passengers were travelling from Kingfisher). When my turn came, there was a Beautiful lady at the counter. I told her that I need to do the through checkin & I need my luggage directly in Raipur. She through checked in me & gave me the boarding pass of Both flights (Bangalore & Hyderabad) (My god checked in happened in no time, Noooo I wanted to talk to that lady for some more time. She had a sweet voice... My god). Anyways, there was still one and a half hour for the flight. So I quietly sat at one chair & started net (We get one hour of free net at BIAL.. cooolll). At 6:15 in the morning, I headed for the Security check. After completing the security check, They just allowed us to board the plane. There was a slight delay for the take off. Instead of 6 30, Flight took off at 6:40, but hey, I still reached Hyderabad in scheduled time. Initially, the crew members gave one small bottle of water. Then, they gave light breakfast which was hot. It felt like they prepared in the aircraft itself.. LOL..... But nice breakfast. Aircraft was ok. There was a TV attached on each seat, Playing the same Aloo chat movie in every TV (We cant expect the different movies for one hour flight right???). Leg Space was exact, & so do the cabin luggage part.
After reaching Hyderabad, when I went to Transfer block for change of flight, there I had to wait for some time. But thats fine. Kingfisher officials came after 10 minutes & started the security check. In Hyderabad, flight got delayed by half an hour. It was scheduled for 8 AM but, flight took off at 8:30 AM. In this flight too, they offered hot breakfast. This aircraft was ATR 72-500 aircraft. Lef space could have been bit better along with the cabin luggage space. I had to keep my Cabin luggage under the seat as it was not fitting in the usual space. Here there was no TV.
In both the flights, cabin crew members are just a bell away. They were co-operative too. I surely recommend the airlines. You have to book the tickets at least 30 days in advance to get a bit cheaper deal. Otherwise the best time is to book 60 days in advacne....
Overall Nice expirience with Kingfisher. I Surely fly with Kingfisher again.
