I had heard about the great service on Kingfisher flights and was quite happy that my company have given me the return flight from chennai to trivandrum via kingfisher airlines. But all my expectations fell flat when I boarded the plane. It was an ATR and it 2 took almost 2 hrs from chennai to tvm whereas an indian airlines flight takes hardly 1 hr. My journey from tvm to chennai was in indian airlines and I would say there was no much differnce between the fares of both these flights. But with respect to seating Indian airlines flight was more comfortable as it was the normal 3 seater whereas the ATR was a 2 seater and I felt completely cramped.
Food I would say was really pathetic in Kingfisher. They provided us a masala sandwich which was cold and felt like recently taken from cold storage and not heated. I really remembered the hot breakfast I had on Indian Airlines 2 days before.
The final experience was the landing in Trivandrum airport. It was not at all smooth and was bumpy. For some time I started feeling nauseaous. Mind you I have travelled in flights and had no airsickness. But by the time this flight landed I was ready to throw out. It forced me to take a half day leave and I went to home directly instead of office though it was only 10:30 am.
The only good thing about Kingfisher was the flight attendants. They were young, beautiful and well groomed. Also they responded very well to their queries comapred to Indian Airlines flight attendants. All and all I would never like to travel in Kingfisher in domestic circuits.
