I bought a Kinetic Velocity for my son in January 2006. We live in Durban South Africa, right on the coast.
My son is very happy with the bike overall, however, the bike is rusting to pieces?
Any advice from fellow Kinetic riders?
Handlebars, all screws, nuts and bolts are rusting.
The overall handling on the bike is very nice and it gives a very comfortable ride, considering I haven't ridden a bike for 20 years, trying this bike was a blast.
Stopping was easy and within what I thought was good tolerances.
Could do with a electric starter, kickstart plays up at times. I would recommend anyone to purchase this bike, as it is sold for a great price here in South Africa. As I bought from the oldest dealer in Durban, I have piece of mind that the warranty will be taken care of.
I think it is a great entry level bike for any sixteen year old boy, albeit a bit on the heavy side 116kg, my son soon learnt how to handle the bike.
