All of a sudden without anybody's(dealers/customers) knowledge Kinetic Launched its Nova 135 cc version. Lets analyze it ....
After the vehicle was launched on 8th of July 2004 in few cities..most of the dealers acorss the country were not aware of the new upgrade...The dealer who got the new upgrade were not aware of the specifications except that its 135 cc. No other information was available till late July on the vehicle... This was a Secret Launch..
On going thru the specifications one would become speechless as none of the scooter in its category has such wonderful combination of power. This is just to break you from purchasing some other vehicle in its category like Activa/Safire or any other....Go and ask your friend at kinetic dealer..He would laugh and say that there was one customer who was going to purchase Activa and I converted him to Nova 135..very easy just because of the better written specifications...
Definitely the vehicle has more pickup and power as compared to any other but the fact is... the ''cc'' and ''bhp'' combination is a total mismatch and the engine vibrates at the speed range of 35 - 40 kmph which can be felt under your feet and seat....That's the speed you would like to ride to get the best mileage and performance from your vehicle.. If you are a fast rider it would not matter to you as you would never feel the vibration as you would be busy concentrating on other things like traffic and road...but in any case the life of the vehicle is shorter than any other vehicle in it's category and the engine would be very noisy.....believe it...
Nova 115 is still better than Nova 135 if these two products are compared..as you would have less complains in Nova 115...The only benefit Nova 135 has its looks and colour combination..
My Experience:- My nearest dealer sold 15 Nova 135 vehicles in the month of July..And surprisingly 5 of them have major problems in them..I am one of the customer who happen to get into the specification trap and purchased the vehicle....I happened to go to the dealer for a problem that I was facing right from the first day..My vehicle's engine used to get raced up automatically once it got warmed after few kilometers run...and therefore had to go to the dealer for tunning of the vehicle but I am afraid this happened till 15 days and I had to frequently visit the dealer regarding this..In one of my visit I met few other unlucky customers like me who were facing some engine problem in their vehicle.. I came across 5 such troubled customer including myself...and this is actual number which I encountered during my visits to the dealer....its true...
5 out of 15... this is a big score in terms of defect..isn't it..? would you like taking the risk..? you are the best judge....
I was about to take Activa but the dealer easily convinced me showing the specification comparison...and ensuring great ride...my bad luck I ended up buying it..Don't go by specifications..
