Title : GF170-- the truths

Review : well this is my first review on this site. I am Chakrabir singh and hell crazy about bikes and I am an engineering student,so I have tecnical knowledge too. BELIEVE ME WHAT I WILL WRITE WILL GO TRUE. I used to own a GF125 so I know much about GF's . I am a hardcore GF lover but this doesnt mean I will write anything foolish to just keep on praising the GF.

STYLING DOES MATTER the GF125 was a sex bomb and same looks are retained by Gf170 city. The laser variant is more sexy by having the twin headlamp half fairing. The both bikes looks great and undoubtly attracts attention. I like the looks of GF 125 even better than pulsar BUT STYLING IS EVERYONE'S PERSONAL LIKING FACTOR. Style 4.5/5

ENGINE the engine is 4 valve 4 stroke 166 cc. the engine now employs the counter balancer shaft to damp vibrations. The GF125 was having lot of vibrations and to rectify those problems kinetic has tried really hard.the engine is high revving which means the most of the power is developed in higher rpms i.e when rpm crosses 5000 mark on tachometer(rpm meter) Engine 4/5

handling handling is exellent.i used to drive my GF125 at 100 kmph and than leave my both hands up is air free.even than the bike never felt nervous and keep on going straight.the bike is a great handler.the same chasis is retained by gf170 and I dont found any difference when I rode 170. BUT the only problem is the wide handlebars.so it really tough to drive in heavy traffic. the other problem is large turing radius.so its problematic to take U turns handling 4/5

ride the bike ride is good and firm.BUT there are some vibrations at high speeds. u r warned . ride quality 3.4/5

performance the performance is great but more over it is enjoyable. on 0-60 kmph runs this 170 with 15 bhp easily beats the pulsar150,CBZ,both FIEROS,and other 150 cc machines,but not the 180 cc pulsar.the torque is of 15 Nm but not usefull so it needs much gearchanging to keep the rpm above 5000 mark to keep the bike in competition with others.and thats what is enjoyable.its thunder sound make it even more hooligan and enjoyig. performance 4.5/5

miliage the mileage is 57 kmpl on highway and 45-50 kmpl in city.PLZ DONT ACCEPT ANY THING ABOVE IT.

pricing the bike is priced 50706 on road with disc and electric start for city and 2500 more for laser. this makes it a most desairable value fo money bike pricing 5/5

OVERALL the bike is great but there are certain problems like vibrations,wide handle bars and power at higher rpms. but the bike looks great goes great . Every bike have some rough edges so the bike is good Overall 4.5/5
