Best Value for money. Review on Kinetic Boss

Being a true motorcycle enthusiast, I have test ridden every motorcycle there is in the market today (except for Bajaj Caliber - I hate its looks and suspension).

So when I found out that Motorindia has rated the Kinetic Boss as the best value for money bike in the counttry (Other motorcycles in their tests were Boxer, victor, passion etc), I decided I tested it myself.

I was very pleasantly surprised to find out that it is indeed true. I drove the boss for 8000 kms before coming to the conclusion.Here is what I found :

Mileage : I got an average mileage of 79.7 kmpl. This was after extensive city driving as well. On the highway it gave me a mileage of 88kmpl as highest and a lowest mileage of 74 in heavy traffic. These are very impressive figures (even the Byk that bajaj claims is 100 gave me only 68 on average) Hence I would give mileage 9/10.

Maintenance: The only problem I had with this bike, is that it gives me no problems! I checked out the fine refinement of the engine. Kinetic has done its homework - the correct parts have been given grinding, hoppin, boreing operations. It was truly a delight for my wallet (I could take out my girlfriend for a dinner because of my savings!)

Styling: true, it doesnt have all the features of a pulsar, but then its a different category. At 31,999Rs ex showroom, it looks good, nice stickers. Its definatly the best in its lot, confirm (boxer,byk,crux,mak)

The best part, is the suspension. The hydraulically damped front shock absorbers are a delight over the indian roads. Only an Indian company would know how to manufacture this type of suspension!

My only wish was that it came with a fairing. I am told that there is some new edition for the world cup with fairing and kapil dev signature and all. Also regarding availability of spares, Kinetic has about 500 dealers, well stocked around the country. so that was never a problem with my Kiney, and shouldnt be with this beauty.

So the final conclusion is that the Kinetic Boss is a great value for money motorcycle. it gives greal mileage and is low on maintenance. Good work, Boss!
