One of the best heavy metal album ever...

Metallica either gets far too much praise or too much hate, understandably so, as these guys delivered some of the most awesomely crushing metal songs for a while; but then they went downhill, and well, started downfall and have yet to redeem themselves. All that being said, Kill'Em All is undeniably one of the most awesome thrash metal albums out there.

This is back when these guys used to THRASH, there are no lousy ballads on here, no lame riffs, just pure unadulterated heavy effing metal. If they had a discography full of stuff like this album, then perhaps their praise as the "best metal band ever"(a.k.a., a load of BS) would be a little more justifiable. "Oh, but they were just becoming more mature musicians, they were experimenting with new sounds!" NO, the whole metal world knows that line is a load of crap and that Metallica shamelessly betrayed their roots. had yet to be corrupted, and this is a VERY strong  record. This album is partly responsible for me being a heavy metal fan. Every time I hear this beast, whether it's "The Four Horsemen" or "Seek and Destroy", I can't help but turn it up, smile, and jam to what is one of the best thrash albums: Kill'Em All.

The songs on this album range from fast thrash fests to mid-paced to fast riff fests. Examples of the former would include "Hit the Lights", "Whiplash", and "Phantom Lord". Examples of the latter include tracks like "Seek and Destroy", "The Four Horsemen" and "No Remorse". One of the advantages that this record has over a lot of other thrash albums is that it maintains a near perfect blend of speed and aggression without pushing anything too far or trying to hard. The problem of trying to force certain riffs or songs would plague Metallica severely in the future. Master of Puppets may have been a commercial success, but its music was extremely bland and forced beyond repair. forced riffs and drawn out sections were a deadly disease that plagued their third and fourth albums. The beauty of Kill'Em All is that it has none of these problems.  <3 This album
