Volume I had to be followed by Volume II.. in the film.. on Zee Studio and of course in my review.

However, my favourite of the two will always remain Kill Bill volume I. But not to forget that volume II is unlike any other sequel ever made.

Probably because the film was not intended to be made into two parts. And because the duration was exceeding, it was divided into two parts.

Volume II is a little more relazed, a little less pacy but still has the brilliance as in the first part.

Let's take a look at the chapters.

Chapter 6: The chapel flashback sequence is shot dramatically in black-n-white.

Chapter 7: Beatrix breaking out of the grave.

Chapter 8: Pae Mei's stunts.

Chapter 9: Picking out Elle's eyeball. eeks.

Chapter 10: The five point palm heart exploding technique.

In this volume, Beatrix manages to kill the rest of the two in line and finally get to Bill.

But Bill has a surprise for her. Her daughter of four years. The scene where Uma Thurman sees her daughter for the first time is quite a moving one.

For the first time you see a heart in the woman who otherwise is shown a ruthless murderer. Of course she has her reasons for doing so. But even otherwise she is supposed to be an assasin. So this scene is kind of the emotional high point in both the volumes.

The film has a lot of Asian (read Japanese) influence, which actually was a negative point with the American audience. Although it was justified with the story of the film, also written by the director himself.

The film did not fare big at the Oscars.

Well it is not really about awards when you make a cult film. It is about public reciprocation to the work.

And Kill Bill is a film that will be watched by the generations to come.
