Guys,

Before praising or belittling the movie or even before trying to dissect it on my small table, let me suggest you to do one thing, go and get both first and second parts. Watch the first and then second part. Come again watch the Kilbill 1 and try not to watch KillBill-2. If you succeed, you win. You may be right, KillBill is not a good movie, if u can?t resist watching the second part, and I win. And it?s a great movie. And it is a masterpiece of a genius. (Let me not forget that brilliant Pulp Fiction.)

What the hell is KillBill,

A retired Female Assassin takes revenge on her Lover cum Boss who almost killed her 4 years back when he shot her on her head which put her in a comma stage for years and years. She Chases and kills all her old colleagues to March to the final destiny, the murder of the Boss, the villain (?), the BILL.

She flies to Japan to get a sword the mightiest sword in the world for her rampage. Her bloody ride for the revenge afoots..and at last.....

stop there....Ok, Ok.. Don?t ask me, do they use samurai swords or Shaolin Kungfu to get their revenge, in United States of America.. Sounds silly, right??

There is a big difference between a Cinema and Movie..

Cinema is director's Vision. He has a story to tell you. he might have a story of a man with wings...he flies, flies and at last flies away....

Do u bother?? That?s his story, he tells, u listen, u watch, (and u watch only if that appeals to u).

Where Movie, A factory (say Hollywood) reads the heart beats of the Viewers, makes a story that people want, Put the formula, cleans and polishes and delivers...expecting the result. It?s what u want, u watch it kind of idea...

Quentin Tarantino is a Cinema Man.

He did not come out of a Film institute. He was a Video Librarian. An avid movie watcher. He saw hell lot of movies in all those years.. Japanese, Chinese, martial arts movies, Samurai stories of Revenge, Wild West/ spaghetti?s. Mafia movies. All kind of movies. He came out started scripting. Later turned to directing. Made strange looking movies. (Pulp Fiction Script got best script award in Canne's, Golden Globes, Oscar?s. everywhere).

Revenge was one of his favorite Themes. And here in KillBill he celebrates that. He celebrates that with all available effects. Gallons of artificial blood were used to complete the shooting. The roof touching level of gory. Who complaints?

Story demands no logic and it was used as a secondary to get the revenge.

His memories, his fascinations. The wild west/the samurai/the shaolin all together in the same bottle. Some times the screen tone changes to light green when the Kungfu comes, (remember those old chines/hongkong flicks) and some times changes to real wildwest tone. and then it turnes to vibrant yellow/blue and red.

An opera of colors and tones. Even slightest of the details were not spared to achieve the perfect frames.

Animations are larger than life and were so brilliant with its beauty and perfection.

Music is the Heart and Punching dialogues.

In one scene ''the Bride''/the black mamba (Uma Turman) is going to Japan to Kill Oh Ran Ishi, the next in the list after copper head. She sits in the plain with her Great Samurai Sword. And when she is reaching Japan, music changes to animation sounds and the sky turns to red. (again the celebration of revenge).

Title song in the movie, ''I was Five and He was Six, We rode on horses made of stick'' is so beautiful....

And before Kill Bill I did not realize Yellow was such a striking color.. The yellow-Red Symphony and a stunningly beautiful macro view can be seen in the ''Wake up my big toe'' in pussywagon scene.

I know I am just going on and on...

I fear I am going to tell u frame by frame,,

So watch KILLBILL frame by frame. Enjoy each moment of it...

Remember or realize, Story and logic has nothing to do with a master and his craft..

In short..

KILLBILL is a gift!
