For all you Bollywood buffs, here comes a film each one of you would love! Let's take a look at the plot. Shaina(Jacqueline Fernandes) and Devil(Salman Khan) are in love with each other. Everything's going great until one day Devil leaves Shaina deserted. For what, you may ask? No, it's not another girl. It's his thirst for'kick' in life. Devil lives life on the edge and there is no stopping him. All he wants from life is adventure and thrill, and none of the kinds you've seen in films so far. It's death-defying in every sense of the word. Shaina is heartbroken at first but eventually decides to give in to her family's wish of getting her married to a certain police office, Himanshu(Randeep Hooda). They meet on a train and Shaina opens up to him about her relationship with Devil. Himanshu too, shares his past experiences as a police officer. The story takes a hairpin turn when they realize their stories have something in common - Devil. To make it even more exciting, Devil comes back.

As the director and producer of'Kick', Sajid Nadiadwala does a splendid job. There had already been a lot of buzz around this film and gladly, the film lives up to all the hype, in fact even more. We were sceptical about it being just another Salman Khan film but little did we know that we were in for a mind-blowing surprise. Of course, it has all the Salman Khan elements, but it doesn't defy logic like most of his films. It's a full paisa vasool film but at the same time, it is equally intelligent. Kick is one film that will appeal to all cinema goers alike - it has something for everyone. The cinematography is top notch and the script by Chetan Bhagat is spot on! There are very innovative dialogues for all you Salman Khan lovers. The graphics are so good that they enhance the whole experience. Needless to say, the action and stunts are as good as they can get. Salman Khan rocks both the looks in the film.

Talking of performances, Jacqueline Fernandes seems to have improved immensely. She surely knows how to flirt with the camera. Nawazuddin Siddique delivers yet another riveting performance. He seems to have perfected emoting just through the eyes. Randeep Hooda also holds his own and not even once does he get overshadowed by Salman and Nawazuddin's presence. His journey from nobody to this brilliant actor is awe-inspiring. Saurabh Shukla and Sanjya Mishra are appropriately cast and so are the others. But it is Salman Khan who steals the show. The more you expect from this man, the lesser it is. Just when you think he cannot impress you enough, he proves you wrong. And this time, he impresses not just by his style and attitude, but by a mind-blowing performance.

Verdict: Kick is one of the best films of 2014 so far. Whether you're a Salman Khan fan or not, you just cannot afford to miss'Kick'. It is the perfect example of how even masala entertainers can be considered good cinema.
