Okay probably I am the wrong person to write a review on this film because I have seen only half of it.

No no no I did not walk out of the theatre after seeing the first half. I was just too hungry and Metro has some really bad snacks. The theatre is giving the traditional samosas and pop corn a bad name.

Anyways, the film to begin with was promoted in a wrong way. The film is not some soft porn or anything of the sort. It is the story of an urban couple and deals with a lot of social issues. Well actually talks about social issues - no film really deals with any relevant subject well.

Especially films made today. They are neither entertaining nor do they give a message. Why do people make films? Especially a film like Khwahish!!!

And to top it the media takes upon themselves to hype such a film because it has 17 kissing scenes.

Well somewhere one thinks the makers of the film were right to promote the film in the fashion they did - at least they were successful in creating an awareness about the film even if it did not translate into getting the audiences into the theatres.

But then again a good subject loses its sensitivity or its objectivity.

Khwahish is about a guy - Himanshu - who doesn't get along with his father but doesn't mind his money. He is in college while he meets Mallika and falls for her.

Their romance is like any other until he wants to get physical. And Ms Touch Me Not But See It All has a problem with that.

Not that if a girl dresses modern she should be open as well but a girl who comes from a village dressing like that is a little too much. But sab kuch chalta hai.

So Himanshu decides he wants to get married to her. This is purely a hormonal decision more than anything else.

They do get married without the blessings of Himanshu's parents. And take off to Manali for a honeymoon - sponsored by their friends. And this guy who is eager to do the act instead stops over to sing a song.

And then is the famous condom scene. Which is in fact very well scripted. Once back to the normal, they realize that life is much more than love and sex. There are bills to be paid and house that has to be kept clean and blah blah blah

The problem begins when Mallika tries to patch things up between Himanshu and his father. And that is also when the interval happens.

Performance wise Himanshu tries too hard to be sincere as an actor but fails. Although he looks good. Mallika on the other hand who is a fairly good actress instead of performing believes in exposing.

And the director who made a mark with his directorial debut Danger looks lost. The direction is loose and patchy. The songs are beautiful but badly picturised. Milind Sagar has done a good job with the music of the film and I am sure Asha Bhosle would be regretting singing the songs.

But hey, like I said earlier, sab chalta hai.......
