Hi Team/Khivraj Bajaj,


This is not just an e-mail, it's literally a saga of the torture& crap in the name of service Bajaj has been offering me every single time I visited the service centre. We take our vehicle to you for servicing not expecting freebies, but the highest quality of workmanship& professionalism, which seemed to be two alien words to the Bajaj team. I'm going to detail out every single point of issue which I faced in the after-sale service period& it's not even been a year.


Episode 1: [Marathahalli-Khivraj]


It was the first service of my vehicle. I had notified some issues with the tappet and the side stand sensor wire is cut. I did inform Gopi(from Marathahalli showroom) about all my concerns and he promised to get all of these fixed in the first service but it never happened. But while delivering the vehicle they just blatantly told that it was just the normal sound of the engine. They returned after the general service. Additionally I had reported that I was feeling some vibrations. They said they will fix it, but what I got in return was cracks in the front glass and they straight forward refused to accept the fact it was done by the mechanic. I had to take the vehicle immediately after the first service to a different service centre(Kasturba Road) where after changing few parts, the issues were solved. And I had to pay for everything even though the issues was since the delivery.(Bill copy attached)


Episode 2: [Kasturba Road-Khivraj]


The second service was done from Kasturba Road& it was done really good which gave me the confidence to come here for everything and anything from Sarjapur.I was charged for Chain Lubrication& Cleaning which never happened. Did I come to know about this by some talking parrot? No, I came back& checked the chain as dirty as it was before submitting.(Bill copy attached)


Episode 3: [Kasturba Road-Khivraj]


Third service was again done at Kasturba Road. Everything went well, except on this visit I was again charged for Chain Lubrication& Cleaning which again never happened. But within a week there was some concerns with the vehicle's cone-set. They tried to fix the existing one which served for just a couple of weeks, followed by things getting worse. After a heated argument with the representative, they agreed to replace the cone-set under warranty coverage.


Episode 4: [Kasturba Road-Khivraj]


Full Service(paid service) went well here. However, next day I notice the the mechanic has over tightened the screw on the left hand side panel under the seat and broke it, they did not even have the courtesy to inform me, just left it there for me to discover. I have attached the photo of the broken panel.


Episode 5: [Kasturba Road-Khivraj]


This was not on the service visit. One fine day the vehicle's gear lever got jammed and I noticed the lever in not coming back to center. I directly went to the service centre and they told me that the torsion Spring is broken, without any further question I agreed for the repair and left the vehicle at service center to get it fixed. They fixed it, and that too was done in such a way that I had to go back within the next 24-hrs. The gear shifting was just not happening beyond second. They opened up the clutch cover again fixed it. After that I took it for a test and notice while riding I still felt the issue was not completely resolved. I was simply frustrated& amused simultaneously as how can they not know how to not fix it and spoil something else along with that previous issue. The smoothness of the shifting was lost after this. Now if I try to shift down from a higher gear, the transition is not at all smooth& I could feel the jinx in between the gears. I reported this, but they tried to convince me that's the way it works& I finally got so exhausted trying to explain that I just paid& left. I'm running the vehicle still now in the same condition. Also, while the mechanic was working on this issue, he tried hard to remove the engine cowl which he could not as he was unable to open the screw which hold the cowl and chesaled the cross head of the screw. As he was not able to open the screw he was bent the cowl and kept on working for which the cowl ended up with a big crack. I have attached a photo of the crack and where you can see they did not remove the engine cowl while working on the torsion spring.


Episode 6: [Indiranagar-Khivraj]


This was the final episode that's been long running. I was observing some issues again with my cone-set. Last Sunday while riding, the handlebar all of a sudden got jammed for a split second, almost causing an accident. I managed the situation somehow. I took my vehicle ASAP to the nearest service centre on Monday i.e. Indra Nagar Khivraj. After reporting the issue first they tried to fix the existing one which they failed miserably. They over-tightened the column cap& broke it. It was so much tightened that the mechanic couldn't undo it. So I was forced to submit the vehicle on that day to replace the cone-set. They stated that the cone-set had to be replaced because of this over-tightening& breakage. They also advised to change the fork oil. I agreed to both.When I went to collect my vehicle on the following day, they charged me for the part which was under warranty& broken by them. There was further drama to follow. I asked for a test ride to feel everything but they did not let me. Instead a representative sat as pillion. I told clearly that I will not be able to ascertain with a pillion sitting, to which they turned a deaf ear. However, after the bill payment when I was driving solo on my way home, I clearly felt the issue was still persisting. Today morning I went out for few errands and found that the right handle bar clip is loose and moving forward and backward and scared the life out of me. I was left astounded thinking what might have happened if I took the vehicle out and the handlebar just opens up from the main center piece. I have attached a few second video clip too for your reference.


I am left with no choice rather than feeling helpless and cheated. I paid(full cash) my 4 years entire savings on this vehicle thinking that I am bring a passion and happiness home. But I was terribly wrong. It became a terrifying nightmare. I feel so cheated that all my hard earned money is gone and I am left with a dead hope and dream to own a Bajaj Pulsar.


So from the above scenarios its very much clear what kind of service Bajaj is providing. I, as a owner, did not buy the vehicle for a casual affair or a showpiece. Its an integral part of my commute as well as the dearest thing I thought I could possess with pride. But one year down the line, that pride has turned to shame and the once famous "Hamara Bajaj" that was instrumental to actually giving a feel of being a member of the Bajaj family is now been turned to just a buyer-seller affair where I do not feel or rather now expect anything positive. If the vehicle was at its perfect on the day of delivery, it's the unskilled, unprofessional& unfaithful mechanics and technicians who are responsible for my vehicle to be in this condition. The entire Bajaj name is a shame to me now.


I really demand a phone call from the higher management or a face to face meeting with the higher management to get things straightened up. I have been very patience and considerate with the crap happened since the first day I have bought the vehicle and yet I behaved.


Expecting a face to face meeting or a call from the higher management asap.
