Khiladi 786 gives what it promises- Entertainment. Review on Khiladi 786

I know, I know you people are thinking how can a Himesh movie be hit though its trailor was filled with overacting and unbelievable actions! Even I was of the same opinion before I watched the movie.I don't know why I went for it but it was worth a risk, I say.Everything fits well in the movie.

After a long long time Akshay Kumar has given a good movie that too in humour.Kiladi 786 has nothing in common to  Khiladi series except Akhsay Kumar and action.

Plot

The movie opens with the narration of Paresh Rawal who introduces us to Mansukh Bhai(Himesh Reshammiya)  ,son of a gujju Wedding planner(Manoj Joshi) and match fixer.Mansukh bhai gets famous for breaking the  knots at the last moment.Finally getting frustrated his father throws him out of house.The entire neighbourhood gets happy about it. Mansukh bhai goes to his friend Jeevan(Sanjay Mishra) who runs the shop called "Kafan and Coffins".

Suddenly the movie then moves to Punjab and here comes the Khiladi 786- 72 Singh (Akshay Kumar) little brother of 70 Singh(Raj Babbar) and 71 Singh(Mukesh Rishi). Well, the tragedy of the family is no one in India gives their girl to them for marriage because they are not the real cops though they help the real police in catching the smuggled goods across border and sometimes loot some of these trucks too.So , Mother of Akshay is an African, one bhabhi is Canadian and other is Chinese who has a son called 74 Singh. The mystery is where is 73 Singh?

One night Mansukh bhai and Jeevan were sitting and discussing the tragedy of Mansukh when Indu's(Asin) car smashes in front of Jeevan's shop .Indu is the sister of Underworld Marathi Don T.T.T. (Mithun Chakraborty) who wishes to marry her to a good family(Remember the movie Welcome?). Unfortunately Mansukh bhai gets caught up in the situation and recieves an ultimatum from T.T.T. to find a groom with 10 days. Mansukh Bhai remembers of 72 Singh whom he met once when in Punjab.He promises to marry Indu to 72 Singh on a condition that T.T.T. pretends to be a cop since 72 Singh is a cop(Mansukh bhai doesn't know the truth yet).And fixes the marriage with him whose family is craving for an Indian Bahu since generations.

Indu is a character in herself. She has a boyfriend Azad(Rahul Singh) who is never able to get out of jail. The moment he is about to step out something happens and he lands back in jail.

Further the movie just moves on with Akshay coming to Mumbai with a truck loaded Punjabi's, opening of each others secrets and then Akshay helping Asin get her Boyfriend commenting "Jab bacche ek khilone ke liye zidd karen to unhe wo dilana padta hai yeh jaanne ke baad bhi ki wo 2 din se zyada nahi tikega"

Music

Rating - 3/5

There are in total 9 songs in the movie.But none is played to the full lengh. Songs are good and fits well in script. Also every songs is entertaining in its own way. Some have good tunes, some funny, some good dances and moves. Himesh Reshammiya gets thumbs up here. Hukka bar is my favourite followed by Bulma.

Lyrics are Good Too.

Direction

Rating - 3/5

Ashish R Mohan who assisted Rohit Shett is many movies had done a great job.Movie have smilar direction to that of Rohit Shetty's I find Ashish's direction much better .. "Action me to Rohit ka Baap hai".

Cast Performance

Overall = 4/5

Akshay Kumar- He  is best at comedy.He is also a good action hero though movie does not utilizes his full potential for action.No Over acting. - 4/5

Asin- I don't like her much but she was pretty well in the movie.Looks good, acts good. 3/5

Mithun Chakroborthy- Who am I to judge this living legend - 5/5

Himesh Reshammiya -  Its good that he was in a side role.He was Ok, little Over but bearable .But this man deserves applause  because managing so many things for just one movie is not an easy task - Music direction, playback singing, script writing,Acting and at the time handling productions. Well Done Himesh !3/5

Sanjay Mishra - 4/5

Johny Lever-   He has a very small but funny role 5/5

Manoj joshi, Raj babbar - 4/5

Mukesh Rishi- He did not have much to do except few dialogues and posing in background.Though he is a brilliant actor, got not much screen time. 3/5

Rahul Singh -(Asin's boy friend) - I loved his character most. He has lot of potential and acted very well .His hyderabadi accent was funny in itself. Outstanding performance in his short timespan on screen.4/5

All others were fine.

Movie had lots of Great Actors.Due to so many actors No one got much time on screen but was well managed every one being given just the right amount of time as per the requirement leaving us for some more.

Well I myself wish that the characters are awesome and movie deserves a part two.Lot of better things can be done as Many of the characters are not fully explored.

Conclusion

Khiladi 786 gives  what it promises - Humour , entertainment and Fun - filed actions.Its fresh in its content with a new type of humour. Better than Golmaal 2 ,3 and Bol Bachchanz. You will not roll of the floor but will surely make your mood. Humour goes a bit down in second half comapred to first half. Story is not that faltu like bol bachchanz.. Ofcourse dont expect a deep rooted story like OMG or Talaash .Its a comedy movie man ,not a thriller .The plot is very good from the point of Humour category of movies.
