Well, I had the misfortune to watch this movie last week. We had gone to get the DVD of Baghbaan, but had to settle for this one because it wasnt available.
When I read the summary on the DVD back cover, I was glad to note that it wasnt some Indo-Pak movie (which is all that Sunny seems to do nowadays).
Anyways, the movie got my attention coz it had the ''x factor'' Ajay Jadeja. Lets put it like this .... Ajay Jadeja should stick to cricket and match fixing .... acting is not his forte. He has bad timing for dialogues and worse acting. His voice .... oh boy dont get me started there .... his voice should be more suitable for Bart Simpson....(that too when Homer is choking him ). Sunil and Sunny have done a good job. Sunil Shetty has managed to come across as the villain .... the calm and calculating kinds ... and Sunny .. well lets say that he has made a bone crunching entry. I think the audience can be spared of the ''xray view'' when he punches the bad guy ... you get to see the bones getting pulverized ..... this effect has been overdone throughout the movie.
Celina jaitly fits her role well ... she is basically there to do the skin show bit and be the beautiful face .... dont expect too much emoting and acting from her.
As for the plot ... it is revealed in the first 20 minutes. You know who the bad guy is ... who the victim is and whoz gonna save him. It would have been more interesting if they would have kept it as a suspense. As for the ''khel'' part ... I dont know what the game was .... there is no strategy ... no plan ... etc. Not sure what the ''deadly game'' bit was all about.
Sunil Shetty has done a decent job as a producer. Cant help it if the plot is weak. He also manages to slip in some advertising for his boutique (mischief) in the movie.
All in all ... this is a good movie to watch on dvd ... not worth trudging to the theatre
