KADVI . Review on Khatta Meetha

This movie is neither khatti nor meeti but a totally kadvi movie. The movie is full of unnecessary vulgarity and bold dialogues just to create some humour which ultimately the movie failed to deliver miserably. I have gone to watch it as a comedy movie but this is a sheer trash movie which will corrupt your mind due to its horrible storyline. There is no comedy except for some childish and idiotic acts here and there which are far from any comedy.

There are hundreds of unrelated stories going on simultaneously in the movie and none of which creates any interest or curiosity or humor. Akshay Kumar is shown as a corrupt contractor who constructs roads. There are many family members of Akshay Kumar who are shown to be corrupt officials making crores of rupees having strong political nexus but living in an old house for God knows why. It was hard to make out who is who and who wants what.

None of the characters was able to create any consistency in their roles. Every character changed its characteristics throughout the movie. I was told that when you are watching a “Priyadarshan” movie just don’t apply your mind just watch it for “entertainment”. This can only be done if there is any “entertainment”. But it is hard for me to just ignore the blatant mistakes, idiotism, and vulgarity in the movie which shows poor direction, poor screenplay, poor planning of the entire movie and over-all poor efforts of everyone. Askshay Kumar was only shouting(or rather hamming) throughout the movie.

The movie conveys no message and is a total failure in every respect. It has some very nasty scenes and dialogues which leave horrific impressions.
