This is great stuff. I couldnt do the saas-bahu thing (just COULN"T survive another day sarring at assorted side-burns on women) and was looking for another brainless serial I could tolerate through my workout.
this is just the thing. the characters are so sketchy one doesnt need to care about them if one doesnt want to. I suppose you're supposed to identify with kesar but there seems to be no rhyme or reason to the choices she makes or the things she says, so one can safely abandon any sympathy for her. I used to enjoy rudra's character, with his puck-like mischief and delight in the havoc he causes, but then he had a metaphorical heart-transplant (not a physical one: he is one of the few characters who doesn't!) and now, I find him just predictible. I wish he'd again start having some fun. the third character in this cliched trio, Abhi, is so unconvincing and contradictory (he helps rudra in his unholy mischief, but is incapable of deceit? c'mon!) that I suppose he imploded upon himself.
the plot is delightfully outlandish. of course, such plots don't happen, and yet they have nothing in common with fantasy literature, especially fairy tales (i should know: I teach fairy tales and archetypes) and so this serial just makes me laugh out loud. I dont look for any resemblance to reality of any form. I have enough of that once my work out is done and I have to go back to my life (i do have one, still).
of course, I believe nothing of it and do not expect to improve myself at all by watching it, even if improvement of a being as perfect as myself were possible. so it is delightful and I can't wait till I go home tonight and pop in a cassette of pre-recorded episodes (i'm way behind) and escape into my midsummer night's dream!
