I bought this just 2 days ago and this is a review of my buying experience. I purchased the Kent Pearl model from M/s Radiant Bizz Associates, Hyderabad The installation was prompt and everything seemed to be in order and my wife signed the installation report to her satisfaction.
However, after about half an hour when the water tank filled up, it started overflowing. My wife switched off the system and promptly called the installation person back. He came back after 2 hours and fixed the "float" in the tank(apparently it was stuck) and said that it happens often during transit from warehouse to your home.
However, after another couple of minutes, the tank started overflowing again, even though the pump was now switched off. I called the dealer and he sent his person back the next day with a replacement part, namely the solenoid valve. I refused to accept a machine which was having to go a part replacement even before installation. The dealer agreed to give me a different machine.
This other machine that he sent, had scratches and spots on the body and didn't look to be brand new at all. When I refused to accept the same, the dealer gave me the option of calling off the deal. So I was left with 3 choices: The machine with replaced part or worn out machine or don't buy Kent RO. I decided to take the worn-out machine, purely out of respect for Mahesh Gupta Sir, who has been such an inspiration to techie-entrepreneurs like me.
I asked the dealer a question. If you accept that sometimes brand new machines of Kent have faulty parts then you're claiming that Kent's QA process is really bad and they should get their ISO certification re-audited. To that he answered "Yes, Kent should improve their
quality and you may please provide the feedback to them".
Now I have sent the following feedback to Kent:
If you accept that sometimes brand new machines of Kent have faulty parts in them, then your QA is dated and you must get your ISO certification re-audited.
If you do not accept the above, then you should investigate how the faulty machine ended up being sold to me.
If you know that the float can get stuck often during transit, shouldn't this be in your installation checklist? For that matter tank overflowing for any reason should be part of installation checklist.
