I'm one among the most unfortunate to buy a Kent Pearl RO last year. Like the experience of many friends here, I too was fooled by the marketing guy who talked a lot about the product and its service. Unfortunately I didn't see this site for opinion and bought the machine. Things were not too bad in the early months, but the trouble started too early. When service was requested, they never came immediately and used to come only after reaching their top executive. Even during the warranty period they still tried to charge some how or the other. Now in a recent incident , my machine was giving only drops of water and when called they came after much difficulty and charged for the pre filter. Then within a week the same problem persisted and again after a long wait, they again came and changed sediment filter and charged me.


Within a couple of days, the problem still persisted and after the same process, the service person came and changed the carbon filter and charged me and also gave me a tinkle that if the problem still persists, I should change the membrane which is about Rs.2500/-. I was really scared that he fixed a problem even before the complaint. To my surprise, the machine was still not working properly even after the change of pre filter, sediment filter and carbon filter and when I complained, no body came for one week. I took up the issue by sending a mail to their head office on 10th sept. Then after a week, the chennai regional office person Mr.Kaliraj called and promised to send a person on 17th whcih till date has not happened. In the meantime when my father-in-law called for service, they came and when reminded about my machinge, they told him that the membrane has to be changed. I'm now in a fix whether to use the machine or throw it out once for all.


The worst part in Kent group is both the product and the service are worst. Even the head office doesn't care about the customer's grievances and they too remain silent. I advise our friends to share their feelings with their friends & relatives so that atleast they should not be fooled. I take this opportunity to request Mrs.Hemamalini to resist from advertising this product and not to join the company of cheats.
