The product:
The Air cooler Vibrant 9924 looks good occupied lees floor space, and does what expected of a cooler.
Cabinet Build quality is good but over all design and build is not so. Inside honey comb impregnated paper is not held properly. it falls off now and then, water may trickle down to floor by the sides of machine. Water may sprayed along air making you wet before you know it.
Complaints swing motor failing is common, you get delivery of faulty machinery. Water pumping may fail or no proper pumping may happen.Totally bad design, quality and service. My use is only during summers and very rarely/ moderate usage.
The service:
I brought this in 1/04/2004. While switching on at home I felt it is too loud and something wrong within( faulty Machine, No proper QC). The seller was ready to exchange, but I opted (to save the time and transit) Kenstar service replacing whole of it, After 24 days, (yes days not hour) and several fellow ups the service gay attended and replaced the fan, within half an hour problem recurred(no proper training). so again called the guy and got it fixed.
The next summer (next year) I found that the swing is not working, Again service engg came after a week and many follow ups, (now it is service franchise). Found that swing motor needs to be replaced. As the machine is faulty at the time of delivery and this happened about a year I demanded that service/replacements to be done free cost. but Kenstar is very evasive and non-commital.
Now today I find the pumping of water is not proper, neither desired amount of water tricking down nor proper cooling, Noise level is also higher.
