I bought a Kenstar Air Cooler in 2006 March to beat the Hyderabad heat. It was doing good. Cooling was ok.
*Good Points:
*1> Cooling is good.
2> You can set the the speed.
3> Low Sound
4> It has swing motor allowing to cool in all directions.
5> Ice cabinet to get more cooling.
6> Water level meter.
7> Water valve to control the over loading the water.
Overall when you see the feature it is good. But the problem is when is over a year old.
*Bad:
*1> Exactly after a year the the capacitor went bad.
2> After two days the Fan when bad.
Now when called the technician he came after 3 days and then he said that I need to spend 1800 rs for getting the fan fixed.
If I have to spend 2000 bucks every year then in three years it will be the price of my cooler.
I bought a local cooler for 1900 and its been 3 years and it is still in great shape.
I would personally no recommed a kenstar. coz the parts are very costly.
