We purchased this Kenstar Fully Automatic Top Loading LF 210 5.5Kg is 2005 from viveks Adyar Chennai(an unlucky one for us). We purchased it for Rs.15000. The Sales wen fine and product was delivered to us in 2 to 3 day!
B4 this, we had a 15 yrs old Videocon Washing machine.
The Washing machine would have worked fine for just 6 month and then its motor failed!
Since the warranty period is 2 yrs, We called for the service guys for replacement. They came after a week, checked but did not replace the Washing machine, instead they only replaced the new motor.
Then again it worked for another 8 months and again for the second time motor failed. They came again and replaced with a new motor for the second time! Then it worked fine for 1 yrs. And after than again, The drum started to get stuck often.
So, we called then again to see what happened. They said, a lots of threads and hair have got stuck in there, so they need to disassemble everything, Clean the drum and then put it back.
They said, they have to take it to their service center to do it properly. So they it away and took about 10 days to clean the drum and then the Washing machine started to work fine for another 1 yrs. But again, it started to make heavy noise. Unbearable one. One cant sit next to the room wer this machine is!
So again, we called them, and they coolly said "Sir, u machine is Failing". Woa. I guess this is wat they wanted!
So we pulled used this crap machine for one more year and in 2011 we purchased the LG front loading Washing machine and its been over 3 yrs and still no problems yet.
We threw away the old machine to crap shop for 500 rupees.
U wont believe, I sold my 15 yrs old Videocon for 700 rupees and this crap Kenstar is not even worth it!
Also the Service guys wer worst and very irritating. We ask them to come after 5pm becoz we are all officers goes and we specially mention them twice about this, but every time they come by around 2pm and call our cell asking "Why r u not home, Sir" and when we explain them, they go away and again do the same mistake!
Overall, Kenstar top loading Washing machine is worst product we ever purchased. Worst product and worst service. Videocon was a gem and LG is an excellent product low!
From is experience onwards, we never purchased Kenstar product and never purchased an another product from Adyar, Viveks.
