Hi Folks,
I am writing this review after using the machine for 2 years, here is my story...
After much searching and feature comparison, we settled on the LF0210 Kenstar Tumble top. The Machine is feature rich and for the same features competitor models were Rs 5000 Costlier. But this is the only positive point of Kenstar-the pricing which snares gullible customers. Within a month of purchase the drive-belt fell off. Kenstar does not believe in providing good A-S Service, the service engineers(?) sent are late, untrained and most of the times without tools. They tried to open the machine with a hammer as they did not have the required screw driver! The falling of belt became a regular feature, after every 4 months the same story, call the service centre and wait for technician to arrive and repair.
This Feb our warranty expired and the machine stopped working in April. The technician came after 2 weeks and when the machine was opened, it was found that the motor had fallen out of its housing and the side tension plate was badly cracked. The parts were not brought so we had to wait one more week. When they finally came with the parts they did not have the tools to open the lock nut and they hammered it out, resulting in damaging the spindle. They somehow fixed it and when the machine was operated with load the drum is now slipping and not rotating. Now the status is that I am once again waiting for the service engineer to arrive.
I am totally disillusioned with the After Sales Support of Kenstar. I had repeatedly asked them to investigate the frequent falling off of the belt to no avail. This neglect by the service engineers and their shoddy methods have damaged my machine and aggravated the problems. They solve one causing two other problems in the process.
I would not recommend Kenstar to anyone.
