Kenstar - Pathetic Service, Rather NO Service. Review on Kenstar Jazz Hand Blender

Here is my experience with Kenstar India(owned Videocon Group).

I have couple of Kenstar products which I bought when Kenstar was by its own and had no issues with the product and never had to contact their A.S.S. Now Kenstar is taken over by Videocon Group and I happen to buy Kenstar Hand Blender Jazz. I got it on 27th May 2011. It’s a Hand Blender with chopping attachment.

Rotary wheel on this chopping attachment broke on the very second day of its use! I dialed 39404040 and registered a complaint. Complaint No was PUN2106110536. Yes you are right the complaint number has first 3 letters depicting you city followed by the date in DD/MM/YY format. So it was 21st June 20011 I registered this complaint.

I was told that someone from Local service center will come within next 48hours to my place and fix the problem. After lot of calls and follow-ups Mr. Balu Solanki arrived on 27th June only to discover that he did not have the very part which is broken. He said he will come next day with the part.

As expected he did not come! Since then I’m following up with Kenstar Customer Service at 39404040 only to get false promises. I spoke with Abel Stephen who is one of the team lead at the call center who is reporting to Mr. Govind. To get to Abel I had to speak to dozens of their agents. I Spoke with Nikhil Rajendran, Fiona Bhalerao and Suvarna who is one of the team lead who actually agreed to listen to whatever I have to say if she doesn’t call me in 4hrs time. Obviously she did not call. Actually she never called. These days if I call and ask for Abel, Suvarna or Govind, they have just one answer that they are in meeting! Some agents come forward and tell me that no one by that name exists!

Here are my other complaint numbers which I raised for the same issue over last 4 months without any luck.

PUN0307110093, PUN2707110070, PUN1409110037, PUN1609110288. I had to open these service requests as they simply closed some of these without even fixing the issue!

I Also had to dial these numbers 9370240388, 9372744268, 020-24261388, 020-30691645, 020-24377071, 9711988145, 9370882010, 9326271606 finally to get this number which belongs to someone called Solanki who owns Kenstar service for my region of Pune. His number is 9822307801 and his service engineer is Balu Solanki, contact number 9689164929. Balu is suppose to come and replace the broken part for last 2 months! I’m calling him daily and now he does not even pick up the call so does his boss.

What a waste of time.

So friends I would request you to think twice before buying anything written KENSTAR on it. Its not the Kenstar that you owned before, its simply Videocon.
