In Canada we have a few types of Kellogg's Cereals. I love the new Kellogg's Special K. There is the one with just the flakes, one with strawberries, mixed berries and my favorite vanilla and almonds.

Kellogg's has been making cereals since 1906, and they have come a long way since then. They are the number one producer of cereals in the World.

All of the are made with whole grains,(the endosperm, the germ and the bran). This one is made from the wheat and rice kernels.

It comes in a box with 397 grams of cereal, and a small walking meter.

Every one needs to start out with a healthy breakfast, and eating cereal is a good way to do it.

The cereal looks and tastes like Kellog's Corn Flakes. They are crisp before you add the milk and get soggy after the milk is added.

I just add milk and cereal and 1 % milk, (I can't stand the way skim milk looks), together are a good source of protein. As I take my first bite I can hear the almonds crunch and taste the vanilla.

Vegetarians can use Tofu milk, I tried it a few times and it is great.

I don't have to worry about gaining weight because there is only 1.5 grams of fat and 1 ½ carbohydrates in each serving.

The Ingredients, (are written in French and English on the box)

Rice, whole grain wheat, sugar, honey coated sliced almonds (dry roasted almonds, sugar, honey, water, maltodextrin, salt), high fructose corn syrup, salt, malt flavoring, ascorbic acid (vitamin C), natural and artificial flavors, reduced iron, niacinamide, pyridoxine hydrochloride (vitamin B6), riboflavin (vitamin B2), thiamin hydrochloride (vitamin B1), vitamin A palmitate, BHT (preservative), folic acid, vitamin D, and vitamin B12.

I don't keep kosher, but if I did I could eat this cereal.

One box costs us $4.50 CAD, but we try and stock up when it is on sale for $2.50 CAD.

After I finish my cereal, I put on my walk meter, and keep it on all day. That way I can tell how many steps I've taken each day. When I began I was shocked to find that I only took 2,000 steps. I'm now walking over 12,000 steps.

Warning

If you are allergic to almonds or wheat please don't eat this cereal.
