KELACHANDRA BROTHERS - KENWOOD INDUSTRIES - BANGLR. Review on Kelachandra Brothers, Bangalore

Located on bannergatta road near Meenakshi. Disclaimer: this is my personal experience you might differ but really be aware and take a informed decision because I have suffered going to them for a solution for wardrobes and interiors and found out that they are not what they show or potray to the customers..

ONE OF THE WORST EXPERIENCES (this is based on my personal experience and putting this review only with the intention that others be careful and dont suffer the same fate and burn heir fingure) this has no malice or any wrong intent..

First of all they belong to to a different state nothing wrong in it but ofcourse high handedness due to their past sale from their fore fahers and this younger blood and sons who are not from the culture bangaloreans might be used to at being more customer friendly and jovial and adjusting and they are none of these plus yet to be experienced to handle business completely...and tactfully..

They will however act vey busy and do all sorts of exhibhition sale at all Interior exhibitions but yet say they are 40 year old company and they work only on word of mouth and nothing else. Unlike the fact that no one recommends them after buying their products and after researching interiors for a long time never heard of them from anyone in bangalore and they have been not recommended by ANY Architects as well. NEVER.

They have the factory too and when you visit them they will show you the factory cause they only make doors there are vinyr is pressed and cutting is done since they perhaps sell wholesale to other dealers and mind you you will not see the actual shutters being made or kitchen being made except some low budget wardrobes.. a very untidy place too and imagine your interiors being made out in the open in dust and all your thousand rupee fitings, hinges etc being fittedd in dust which would reduce 50% of its life and smooth working..

THEIR DRAWERS ALWAYS WOBBLE NO MATTER WHAT OR HOW MUCH YOU PAY OR WHAT FITTINGS YOU PUT

WE FOUND OUT THAT THEY PRICE THEIR SHUTTERS AND WARDROBES IN SUCH A WAY THAT INITIALLY YOU MIGHT FIND THEM CHEAP AND GREAT BUT LATER YOU REALIZE THE SMALL THINGS AND THAT THEY MAKE NEARLY 50% PROFIT JUST FROM THE SHUTTERS

AND SLIDING DOORS

AND ARE NOT ABLE TO EXPLAIN WHEN YOU TELL THEM THE MARKET PRICE FOR EACH ITEM AND THEY WOULD CLAIM THAT UNDER WASTAGE - WHAT THEY MEAN IS THAT YOU PAY THEM RS 35000 EXTRA FOR EVERY DOOR COSTING 50, 000 RS AND THAT IS BECAUSE THEY CUT FROM BIG PLY AND BIG GLASS AND ALUMINIUM SHEETS AND HENCE WASTAGE IS ON THE CUSTOMER WHEREAS THEY MIGHT BE ABLE TO REUSE OR FIT IT FOR YOUR SECOND WARDROBE BUT THE WASTAGE IS COUNTED.

Mind you they have 3 companies inside and all work individually and you will be really confused and taken for a ride since all different items come from different brothers and owners and companies.. it is a  MESS

next, the quoatation comes from someone else who is probably not very smart either and not as experienced as you might expect cause anyone who is good at excel or has been using the template and works at their factory is the person who calculates Height * Width from your layout and will give you the quote but if you ask a question on it or if you want to know the details or some idea and want to save some money or suggest he would again point you back to the Brothers who have the same first name and they will keep making you shuttle between themselves till you get fed up and order it and pay them. He also creates a lot of mis communication and fights between you and the owners since his translation from english to malayalam and back might give a different meaning..

The so called brothers have limited knowledge on outside market and no knowledge largely on customer requirements, empathy and suggestions and the new modern technology and companies offering outside at competitive rates and better sliding doors with auto close and soft close ...IMAGINE 1.5 LAKHS WARDROBES SLIDING BUT NO AUTO CLOSE AND NO SOFT CLOSE PLUS NO FITTINGS FOR LIFTS AND PULLOUTS

they have a fixed charge and they do nothing to customize it and you will end up paying 1.5 to 2 Lakhs for a 10*10 wardrobe in glass shutters and lacre finish with only 7 ft height wardrobe and 9 ft high shutter that once opened will look ugly except the outside appearance... also

INFACT YOU CAN GET A FULLY IMPORTED GERMAN OR ITALIAN AUTO CLOSE AND SOFT CLOSE WARDROBES FROM ANY OF THE HAFELE, BLUM RANGE FOR A LESSER PRICE THAN WHAT YOU CAN GET AT KELACHANDRA BROTHERS

actually each company works in a different way and they are not a one stop solution guys

also you can never get the details from them for the extra cost or the features or cost from them if you want to since the only option here is to pay the money they ask for shutup and get your wardrobes installed from them with no service expectations or any written warranty..

my recommendations, look at the price of the channels outside and the range outside before you order here, look for the price of glass or vinear and demand the quality and break up from them for what you would pay them

compare the prices and market before you venture with them and talk to people who really are satisfied after using their products

ask them to show you a working full model or examples or a finished interiror which they will not..they have huge collections of pictures though... and perhaps from the very long past years

also their imported range from malaysia they say cost double of what german and italian Kitchen costs with less features... rather go with the experts in kitchen then them..

they are phasing out the kitchens so be careful..

also the wardrobes are of MDF and Kitchen of their own low quality ply.. ALSO the MDF is of lower quality and being manufactured in their own factory near bannergatta it is shocking to know they are over priced than the imported much better finished and durable products available in the market..

so here goes and rest is upto you guys to go and experience it urself and judge the facts..
