I deeply regret not having seen these reviews before approaching Kaya Skin Clinic. I had had an excellent experience with the services at KAYA LIFE, and naively thought that the same would happen at the SKIN CLINIC.
I went to the Andheri East centre and got my skin evaluated. The dermatologist (?) recommended a package with Meso-Glow and Every Day Radiance, which I stupidly bought. Right after the first session, I started getting painful boils on my skin and brought this to the staff's notice.
I was told by the "expert" that this is a common problem during the monsoons, and that it will soon be over. Even after I clearly stated that I don't get similar boils during monsoons, my concern wasn't addressed. Since I had already paid a huge sum for the services, and trusted them, I kept going back and even renewed my package, hoping that post monsoons my skin will improve.
This is when my friends and family actually intervened and forced me to stop my sessions at Kaya. So now, this is where I stand. From a person with an average skin without any major scars, I now have a dark, pigmented skin with ugly visible scars, and a deep sense of guilt at not having trusted my instincts and not having acted faster.
If you are considering this treatment, please don't. Go to a bona fide dermatologist. I cancelled my remaining session with Kaya, and have no clue how much more I will now have to invest to get my skin back.
I am deeply disappointed in Kaya Skin. It's an irony that the one good Kaya brand, Kaya Life, has been discontinued by Marico, since it wasn't a money making racket. Every time I look into the mirror, I wish our country had better educated consumers (not unassuming people like me), and a better consumer forum.
I have warned ALL my friends and family against Kaya Skin, and asked them to spread the word to as many people as possible.
