I own a 1989 KB100 RTZ and the word that comes to my mind is reliability when I think of this machine. I have done 118000 Kms and the bike is still good.
The bike can run uphill with ease, take you through places where no roads are present, cruise at 60-70 Kms on Highways and chase those Rx100's whenever spotted.
The engine is ready always when you need, giving a satisfaction that you can trust the machine while overtaking or reaching in time.
I have been searching for but have not seen any equivalent bike till date. The long stroke length of the front fork, neat guages, friendly switches, quick starting engine, high torque, smooth cruising speed of 60-70 Kmph, large fuel tank, bright lights make this bike special.
The front and rear 130mm drum brakes require a special appreciation here as they are best even today and applying them stops the bike on a very straight track within minimum distance.
