Finally decided to Disown this Darling

I have been owning this darling bike for the last 6 years and finally I have decided to move on - I have got all the money's worth from this black colored bike. The Price at 95K on road that to during 2002 Jan was way ahead of any other bike in India.

Never has this bike let me down at anytime - be is a short trip or on a highway trip. Since there are more reviews on the bikes Specs I am not going to narrate them here, this bike gives pure driving pleasure. Ofcourse I maintain it perfectly well with services done on time - always!. There was some talk that this bike is stopped in production and spares will not be avilable a couple of years ago, however Avenger came to the rescue. So minor parts are not a problem and till yesterday (the day I sold this bike) have never had any problems in the Engine / Gear box etc.

The bike has all its original components intact, the only changes during these 6 years have been the Chain sproket / Indicator bulbs / Tyres & tubes/ Speedo Cable abd Clutch Cable. Other than these worn items which occurs naturally nothing else has been changed. The bike has done close to 55K kms with me being the only person riding it all the time. The mileage I have got is in City-34.5Km per Litre and on Higway's at speeds (60 to 70 km per hour) 42km per Lit and at speeds above 70Km per hour it gives 38 per lit.

I always get it serviced only at Bajaj Autorised service centres. Not a single drop of Oil has leaked at any time. When I bought this bike many of my friends told I am NUTS to buy such an expensive bike, but my consious could not settle for any thing ordinary than the best. I Had an Enticer before this - bought it for a premium of 3K and sold it in just few months as I was totally dissatisfied with its performance and service - 4 gears only - chromes not upto the mark - Bike used to Skid and also got a severe back ache riding this. So my eyes and passion was always towards the Cruiser models, so Eliminator struck me, yeah for an Indian and on Indian roads this was an awesome cruiser bike (cannot compare this with international Harleys and Vulcans though) again for a bike at 92K there were only few takers so even if Harleys and Vulcans come am sure their mileage will be very less and bikes much much more higher and for an average Indian it is not going to on the cards at all. with just 175CC engine Kawasaki have done a wonderful job - smooth engine, great starter, powerful headlights, tough braking (I always use only the front and rarely the rear). The Max speed I have hit solo - 125+ and with a heavy pillion 120+ did this in ECR (Chennai). The engine is so good that gives excellent responce to acceleration and you can feel the power it has.

I always wanted to write a few lines about this wonderful Japanese bike however after it has left me I am writing this - better late than never! am kindly excuse me of the continuity since whatever came in my mind I have jotted it down as I am @ Work :) still cannot hold myself from writing almost after 3 years again in MS. Now I have decided to move on to Thunderbird Twin Spark and hope it will not let me down too - may be not as maintenance free as Elim for sure.Cheerz!!!
