The month of Shravan is considered to be holiest month as per the Hindu Calendar and most of the Hindu population abstains from eating non-vegeterian food and a few also abstain from eating garlic and onion too.
Biryani is a rice delicacy coming from the kitchens of Moghuls that contain some spicy combinations of rice, spice and pieces of chicken,mutton made in typical biryani masala.
Hyderabadi Biryani is considered to be the best in World. I can show you a thousands of people who can swear by biryani.
A few of the guys who swear by biryani avoid eating it during the month of Shravan for their religious belief.

Remembering the KBC 1

Koun Banega Crorepati 1 brought smiles back to faces of AB, Star Plus, a few lucky contestants and millions of viewers like us.
AB who was lying low at that time shot back instantly to a new career high, Star Plus managed to turn the fortunes of Zee upside down for worst , a few lucky contestants managed to meet AB as well as win some huge money whereas millions of viewers witnessed the phenomenal rise of AB via a quiz show !
KBC is basically a quiz show ! It had two magical ingredients namely certain sum of 1 crore and someone called Amitabh Bachchan. Let me not mention it again that both these magical ingredients were equally responsible for the grand success of this show. Everyone who considers one's GK to be competitive wished to get that cheque of one crore signed and handed over by the AB ! The superhero, the superstar AB at his best while getting friendly with the contestants, the comforting smile, cosy demeanor added char chand to the show !
The show was aired everyday from Monday to Thursday at 9 pm.
It also had typical ingredients for a quiz show like 3 life-lines namely Fone a friend, 50-50 and Audience Poll. Every right answer used to advance the contestant to the upper ladder in the money conquest.
The show was phenomenal hit !

After a gap of few years when AB is relishing his success at his all time career peak, KBC 2 is back.
This time the wanna be crorepatis were given a chance to be a participant for the show much earlier before the first episode was screened. The KBc phonelines that were also unreachable for me opened a few months before the show was aired...The KBC2 was on the Air !
The day arrived... AB rose on the sets of KBC2 with the same charisma although with a lather jacket and some extra shaded hair... Do we really really care even if he adds one red shade in there ?
The changes to spice up the show were made finely like addition of one more lifeline called Flip, a new contest called ''Har Seat Hot Seat'' where all of the viewers watching the show on TV can participate and win 2 lakhs for their right answer, participation of the remaining participants in the show... the ingredients were correct...as they say the masala for the biryani was all set...
Chicken Biryani in Shravan : We say timing for every event, act has to be spot on. Just as we dont eat chicken biryani in the month of Shravan, we dont really watch television during the weekends.
KBC2 is aired every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 9pm to 10pm. The aam TV premi janta normally goes out of their homes to enjoy the weekend...malls, hotels, outings, resorts are famous frequented destinations...Do we really care to watch the idiot box when we are out to relax ?? Atleast I dont !
So however the chicken biryani is great, there are few people who dont consume it during shravan...same for KBC2 !
Someone just whispered that KBC2 has again grossed the same response, TRPs for the show ! Mr. Zuludancing you are wrong here. But I say, do we all really withstand the temptation of chicken biryani when its raining out, even in Shravan ?
