Hi Dear Friends!
How many of us suffer from life-style related diseases today? High Cholestrol, High Blood Pressure, Diabetes are just some of the problems we face today.
I feel that a few changes in our lives can, to an extent, prevent and rectify these disorders. Apart from exercise, we need to focus on the food we eat as well.
The switch to healthier oils is necessary if we are to maintain good health.
So, today, I will be reviewing Kaula Rice Bran Oil!
Rice bran oil is the oil extracted from the hard outer brown layer of rice after chaff(rice husk).
kaula's Oil is being advertised as being high in MUFA(Mono Unsaturated Fatty Acid) which lowers the bad LDL Cholesterol without lowering the good HDL cholesterol.(This is the type of problem my husband, as well as many others, face).Kaula also contains natural antioxidant(y-oryzanol), unique micro-nutrients and other natural antioxidants, all of which provides protection against many diseases.
I bought it with a lot of trepidation: What if it gives the food a weird taste?
Luckily, this oil has no such problems. I used it to stir-fry veggies and fish, to temper oil, for curries and all sorts of dishes- No Problem!
