It gives me great pleasure to write a review about my own college, Kasturba Medical college - Mangalore. It is an institution which is affliated to the well known Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), which was founded by Dr.T.M.A. Pai who was a great physician, educationist, banker and philanthropist. It was granted deemed university status on June 1st, 1993.
The college allots seats to students through the MAHE entrance exam and also through the Karnataka CET.The college has well equipped and spacious laboratories. The college boasts of individual attention and numerous extra - curricular opportunities provided to the students. It has a campus with a huge complex which is located in the heart of the city ensuring easy access to the nearby hospitals which students visit during their clinical postings. The classes for 1st year during which pre-clinical subjects are taught are conducted away from main campus in a place far off from the noisy environment of the city.The college also provides excellent hostel facilities for its students.

3.Govt. Wenlock Hospital, Mangalore
5.Govt. Lady Goschen Hospital, Mangalore
4.Kasturba Hospital, Manipal.
The college boasts of its students who come out with excellent performances in various fields. But the true credit for the current All India Ranking of the college (Ranked 6th among Indian medical colleges in 2003) goes to its outstanding faculty.
The college has medical museums located in Mangalore as well as in Manipal which is one of the best in Asia.
As a student I feel proud to be studying in this college. It promotes sports like cricket, basketball, volleyball etc. by conducting yearly tournaments in a huge sporting campus at Attavar, Mangalore. The yearly culturals, dance competitions, quizzes, fashion shows, parties, socials and many more programmes conducted for the students are simply awesome.
In all, Kasturba Medical college is one of the best colleges providing Medical education in India.
