~* Confessions of a Jelebi Lover… *~ . Review on Karan Wahi

Before reading this review please take into account that there’s a limit to how much you can write about a television star who is relatively new. I’ve mainly included my views, so I’m not sure how useful this will be…after all, maine uspe koi PhD to nahi kiya! ;P

We were lost in the wild jungles of the Kkekta tribes, whose species never seemed to get extinct despite the constant bickering and hunting down. Sometimes I feel that woman is the root of all evil 8). There were the occasional college programs, but nothing there to make that impact. Then came the swanky channel called Star One last year, and with it came Remix. Except Remixdidn’t just “come”… it was more like right there in your face! And I think it’s the best program ever. Yh, some people hate it, but what do they know about the fun of riches and snitches and dyed hair and camels? :P

And if you want to know more about the show…then why are you reading this topic? This revu is on a very important member of the show: Karan Wahi (you don’t say…I thought this revu woz about the side effects of jelebis) :P

9 Reasons why to love Karan Wahi :D

~ He’s extremely good looking. First reason is screaming: Shallow shallow shallow! But, as I once said before, the world is a shallow place to live in, even if you try to drown yourself in the Pacific Ocean. The first thing you notice about someone is usually a visual factor. And Karan Wahi has got plenty of visual factors, multiples and perfect equations! Sometimes he looks all rough and tough…whereas sometimes he looks so sweet and innocent…like a jelebi (why am I talking about them again?)

~ He’s 19. Yeah, that’s it…he is just nineteen! The age at which most people are driving around in cars going nowhere in particular, or are deep down with their heads in a ten-tonne textbook, or are thinking about what the hell they are going to do with their future lives (please feel free to correct me…I haven’t experienced the joys of being 19 yet). He has made it big on the television, an increasingly popular and cool medium, at such a young age. You’ve gotta hand it to him for that.

~ No one can do on-screen anger like him. Have you seen the fire ablaze in his eyes? Its like Mount Vesuvius when its going to erupt. I guess “it’s all ‘bout attitude”! Stupid reason to love someone, but you have to appreciate true talent ;)

~ He shares great chemistry with his co-stars. Be it the weird friendship he shares with Miss Redhed Ashi (don’t worry, my hair’s black :P). Be it the cool dudeness, or should I say bannaness (what the hell?) he shares with Aman/ Yuvi/ other guys. Or be it the ultimate lovey-doveyness he shares with Princess Tia (its coz they get along sooo well…that’s why they never agree with each other :P).

~ He has a nice nature off-screen too. He’s a video game freak, he likes cricket and he doesn’t identify at all with the character (is that a good thing? :S). And most importantly he appreciates his fans!

~ He’s a great model as well. Very few styled mannequins can overcome their stuck expressions to become true actors, and can bother taking out their hair-straightening time to re-take scenes. I don’t want to take any names (cough cough* Shayan Munshi cough cough O-pain Patel), but some models just don’t appreciate the art of acting. I know Karan Wahi is not a ramp guy, but he still did some modelling before he got the role of Ranveer, and we got to see him walk down the catwalk in Lakmé Fashion House (I can’t seem to get enough of that show)!

~ He’s a style icon. He has the ethnic yet retro look to fill up Ranveer’s wardrobe, a look which has been popular recently. And he’s got the cool attitude to go with it. That’s why he has his own special drink dedicated to him in Café Coffee Day! So everyone go taste some Irish Coffee :)

~ He’s from Dehli. Why is that a reason? Because people who come from Dehli rock ;) What I actually mean is he comes from the capital, yet plays the role of a Rajput brilliantly. You wouldn’t believe he wasn’t from the deserts (camel kahi ka :P). And on top of that he played the part of a Mumbaikar in the recent floods :)

~ Ranveer Sisodia is just generally amazing :P! I think the whole Remix crew, from the producers to the costume designers, deserve a round of applause for creating such an impressive and original character, who has incomparable style.

And that brings me to the end of my revu. I surprised that you survived all that rubbish about jelebis…lagta hai chocolate ke baad jelebis mere chewing-gum dimaag mein stick ho gaye! And if you found my review totally rubbish and useless, then please still comment and tell me that. I’d just advise you to take a link to Sneha’s revu which is tonnes better than mine!!
