Indian movie making is changing a lot and if I have to talk about “Kapoor and Sons” I have to talk about the filmmaking style also. The movie is a neat and clean one and focuses a lot on the overall performance of characters and does not focus on an individual one. Does not contain useless songs and dialogues are good.
First if we talk about the cast, Rishi Kapoor is the show stopper and his make-up man also. Siddharth Malhotra and Fawad were Suited in their role. Rajat Kapoor was good as usual and could portray the role of a Bechara Husband and caring father. Ratna Pathak Shah has grown a lot in terms of acting, I can use a word “Seasoned” for her. We still Miss “Sarabhai”. Ali Bhatt could not do much because she did not have much to do. In general I don’t like these types of characters in movies.
The story was sounding like “Modern Baghban” but the execution is good. The speed of dialogues and script will not allow you to think anything else than the movie. You can get connected to it because we all know that we all are facing these types of issues somewhere in life. When a family gets distorted it’s not a single person’s fault and if the family is happy it’s not a single person’s contribution only. It’s a joint effort and it has to continue if a family has to remain happy. We all are lost in our own lives somewhere and realize the value of family when it is not there. It’s tough to understand this simple logic but we all have to understand it.
Other than that have nothing much to say, go and watch it. You will find it’s a good one!
