Music is universal!

Music is universal. It has no language, caste, creed, or barrier. Music is the greatest healer. If you pondered that time is the best healer, you must know that music along with time makes you escape from your deepest apprehensions and heals your life in a way you can never forget. Knowing all this, if you decide to drive away your agonies appointing music as your only escort; take one more advice. ( As it is I don't use it) Select a music album that reads one name somewhere along the main cover: A.R.Rehman

If music aids in healing, A.R.Rehman gives birth to music from the foyer of gravest feelings in their purest form. All this time, there were numerous reviews on this aesthete for his endeavors in the Bollywood. Although, I don't understand even a teeny bit of tamil; I gathered my deepest knowledge of music to be able to comment on this apple of discord. better known as 'kandukondain kandukondain'

Before I initiate my talks about this album, I like to extend my sincerely felt wishes to all the south-indian music composers. However strongly it hurts; with all due respect to the other music composers I must acclaim the fact that the real treasure of music, if at all it existed, is definitely and surely rooted in south India. What we perceive listening to Anu Mallik or Nadeem Shravan is just very miniscule in terms of music sense. Please note that this fact stands true for the current genre of music and not the early era of Madan mohan , O.P.Nayyar, Pancham Da, S.D.Burman, Salil Chowdhary, Laxmikant-pyarelal, Shiv-hari et al.

Wording about the album that elicited my emotions so much, I would love to remark about some of my favorite melodies. Taking off straight to the song, that fetched the National Award to songster Shankar Mahadevan, Yella Sol Pogira. This song encompasses a divine healing power in itself. Excellent vocal by the singer and it doesn't indulge into the usage of too many non-conventional instruments. Great arrangement of Finger snaps, bongos and conventional string orchestra. The touchy effect is rendered mainly by the singer's voice and I find no reason why it wouldn't be lauded with a National Award.

If you ever wanted to enjoy a song boasting of the best harmony of voices it's this: Smaiee yaiyee. Resplendent harmony of vocals is briskly caught up with drum sets and no wonder it makes you croon and croon and croon. No surprises if you think that a new singer has arrived in your form. Actually speaking what I found in this song is that song needn't worry to be housing great voices and digital instruments. Simple yet effective is what I can describe for this song.

If you asked me which song made me go flat, unresponsive, baffled, bedazzled at the imagination of this connoisseur, I would promptly reply to this fabulous and godly snake paced worship sung by maestro Hariharan. once you listen to this song, you are bound to transform into heaven. You will feel the guiding light escorting you away from your room to a journey you would never like to leave. Just by the very humming of Hariharan you would find this life ambiguous. You would realize the essence of your existence. You would feel pure for an evanescent period.

Another gem in the crown is the marvel kunjum… Filmed on the inimitable and fairy queen Aishwarya Rai, this song is a very lively and full of zeal and zest. Fortified by beautiful music and archaic sublimation of tamil songstress, this song is a sure shot laudable. You should hear this song while gazing at the video and you would find it extremely nice.

Summing up, I recommend it highly to all the music lovers who haven't quite thought of investing the bucks into south Indian music. I don’t gauge any lyrics of the album but find the music extremely soothing and peaceful. And in this age of degeneration when we don't find peace it won't be a bad idea to find its form in this album.

For first timer South Indian music, I recommend buying an cassette having both Kandukondain Kandukondain as well as En Swasa Kaatrae For En swasa Kaatrae I am shortly going to write an review. But please buy it without waiting for anyone's review. I assure you won't be disappointed.
